Sweet 1960's Pinafore Aprons…part I

This is a re-post from last year this time.
I thought it would be fun to look at all of the Pinafores again.

Ribbon Swirl
Sheer cotton is softly
gathered at the waistband
of the skirt and bordered
with top-stitched grosgrain ribbon.
The ties at neck and waist are
also grosgrain.
Country Calico
Calico provides gay
contrast at the slip-over collar, covered
buttons and flaps of the two patch
pockets. The golden yellow fabric is
broadcloth.
Alpine Dirndl
This dainty apron has
finely pleated bodice, tiny pearl buttons
and decorative ribbon circling the scoop
neck. Cotton broadcloth; ties at waist of
gathered skirt.

The Pinafores are great.

I was looking at vintage purses and aprons on a site and had a couple of the purses. Why did I get rid of them. I have a couple aprons I've gotten at flea markets and yard sales, nothing like those.

The snow missed us. Yay, but looks like it may get us on Monday.

hope you get a chance to get out soon.

Happy Pink Saturday Stephanie, The aprons are great and I was married in 1961 so I remember those, I actually had a dress that was similar in style to the green apron only it was a summer dress, pintucks were big then Hugs, Marilou PS I was going to grab a button which is best for the 3 column blog, the medium one? I have a button too, I never thought of offering it in more than one size,Ummm?

Happy Pink Saturday Stephanie Sweetie...
What a beautiful share today. Love the aprons from the 60s. They are so elegant, and they were actually used for keeping our clothes clean. Imagine that, not just for beauty.

A beautiful share. Happy I got to see this one. Many hugs sweetie, Sherry

What lovely aprons. It's chillier than normal here in Florida too but I'm not sure what normal is anymore. Happy Pink Saturday.

I love aprons and these are the best! Any idea where I could find a pattern to make my own? I practically live in aprons and would love to have some stylish ones like these.
