There's a Party....Where Bloggers Create

Karen Valentine over at My Desert Cottage is having a party! Please drop by to see the complete list of bloggers that are sharing their Creative Spaces. :0)

Although mine is still in the remodeling stage I'm still participating...looking at all of these studios is such great inspiration. So please take a moment to come visit her blog..the list of bloggers to visit are located in the right sidebar.

Now...on to a few photos of my studio (in progress)

My Studio is the upstairs level with a great mountain view.
I'll get a current picture posted of what it looks like with the new windows installed.

Here is the studio before anything has been done.
It has sheetrock walls but has a tongue 'n groove cathedral ceiling with beams.
There is also a large walk in closet that will has been converted to shelves for my supplies....
then there is a full BIG bathroom that will also have many shelves
(since I removed the jaguzzi tub from it)...
Fabric storage is much more important! :-)

Here are the carpenters measuring the area to cut out for a big new piece of glass.

It's cut out and framed ready for the glass.

Ta-Dah!! The glass is installed..what a difference this made.
This glass panel is 46" tall by 74" wide.
It really brought in a lot more natural light and created another great view.

Ok...I have more to add since this has been done!
The remaining windows have been replaced with "no grid" windows.
I shall return with more to show. :0)

Ok, here's some pictures.....hold on, it's major clutter!
When you are moving stuff 450 miles and in a hurry
at that this is what you wind up with (for the time being!) :0)
The good news is that ALL of my stuff is under one roof again...woohoo!!!!!

Staircase to the Studio

Major clutter but gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling just knowing it's home to stay!..
Oh, and to the left is where that big plate glass window is..

This picture is looking towards both storage areas.

Shelves installed in one area

More of the same storage area...the other one has not gotten this far.

CLICK ON PICTURE TO ENLARGE IT
This is a large room on the lower level.
Those four tables put together are holding my 4 x 8 foot cutting mat.
I've had that mat for years and just couldn't part with it.
So I'll have the smaller mat in my studio upstairs
and this large one downstairs for the larger things I may want to cut out.
This area for the most part will become my husband's woodcarving studio.
He wanted the room with the woodstove!

So you can plainly see that I have a long way to go
before seeing completion around here! But it's getting there. :0)

I hope you've enjoyed looking!
Please come back soon. :-)
